With Mumbai setting up a four point gap between themselves and sixth placed Pune, the home side really must win here to keep their playoff hopes alive.
We’re getting to the point in this year’s IPL where the qualifying slots are starting to take shape and every game is vital from here on in.
Here are our Rising Pune Supergiants vs Sunrisers Hyderabad betting picks and tips.
Match Odds & Game Preview
Sunrisers are the form team in the competition with six wins from their last seven and with several key players returning from injury, it’s no great surprise to see David Warner’s men as clear favourites at 1.80 with Bet365. They completed a comfortable win over Mumbai, dismissing the reigning champions for just 92 and their seam attack is the most potent in a competition where the faster bowlers are making the difference.
It’s all falling into place for SRH with Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson and Ashish Nehra coming back after spells on the treatment table and the squad seem certainties for the top four.
Betting Tip: Sunrisers Hyderabad to win, but its not such a quality bet.
Rising Pune Supergiants
You can’t say the same about the Supergiants who are rated at 2.05 with 888Sport for the win on Tuesday. They won their opening game but since then they have been beset by injuries of their own and have just six points from ten matches.
They are starting to compile some decent scores although the loss of Faf Du Plessis, Steve Smith and Kevin Pietersen means that the pressure is firmly on Ajinkya Rahane and it’s tough to see Pune stopping the Sunrisers here.

Top Batsmen Betting Picks
Betting Tip: Rahane is carrying this batting order and may have this market all to himself at odds of 3.00 with Bet365. The opener made 74 against RCB Last time out and in those ten matches to date, has top scored on no fewer than five occasions. Remember too that Faf Du Plessis and Steve Smith also top scored four times between them and they have left the competition.
So who are the alternatives? Usman Khawaja looked solid until Rahane ran him out and the Australian has to deliver sometime at 3.50 with Bet365.
Saurabh Tiwary will go big from the first ball and is an option at 5.00 with Bet365 while George Bailey has started slowly but should improve to give you a chance at 6.50 with Bet365 again.
Rahane dominates for Pune in the same way that David Warner has been supreme for the Sunrisers and their skipper starts as a short priced favourite at 2.87 with Bet365.
That will be too short for some who will choose to keep faith with the in-form Shikhar Dhawan at 4.00 with Bet365 once again.
Kane Williamson is more tempting at 4.50 with Bet365 while Yuvraj Singh is listed at 7.50 – also with Bet365.
Betting Tip: I’ll be sticking with Warner here but for the Supergiants, I think that Khawaja has had time to settle and is worth backing for Tuesday’s match.

Personal Betting Picks
Take the Under – We didn’t know what to expect from this Visakhapatnam surface but the Sunrisers looked comfortable as they posted that 177 total at the weekend. However, Mumbai’s dismal reply of 92 suggests that this could be a low scoring game and Under 11 Sixes at 1.91 with Bet365 should be a relatively safe punt.
Bet for Sunrisers to Win – As for the match result, SRH look to be the most dangerous team heading into the final group games. They have key batsmen returning from injury and with Nehra, Kumar and Rahman, they possess the most dangerous seam attack in the tournament.
David Warner Top Scorer – Pune, meanwhile, are relying too much on Rahane for runs while their spin attack is struggling in a tournament where the slow men are having much less impact. I’m therefore taking Sunrisers for the win and I expect skipper David Warner to top score and play a major part in that victory.
