After seven long weeks it’s all down to the final two teams facing off in Bangalore on Sunday. We have the best batting unit in RCB against the finest quality seam attack provided by the Sunrisers so who will emerge with the trophy at the end of 40 overs?
Sunrisers won by 8 runs.
Sunrisers – 208/7 (20)
Royal Challengers Bangalore – 200/7 (20)
Match Odds & Final Game Preview
It’s no real surprise to see Royal Challengers head the betting: The fixture list has given them home advantage for this game and they have all the form following a string of wins that brought them here from the brink of elimination. However, they look a little short for comfort at 1.57 with Bet365.
The key, as we mentioned, is that Sunrisers seam attack against RCB’s batters and you only have to look at the respective rankings for the Orange and Purple Caps to back that up. If Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers can overcome Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur Rahman and the rest then they will convert.
SRH do have a stellar batsman of their own in David Warner and he has received strong back up at times from Shikhar Dhawan. If the seamers can get both Kohli and De Villiers early then Warner’s runs can take them home.
Sunrisers are a good value option at 2.42 with 888Sport but form suggests that you have to side with the Royal Challengers.

Top Batsmen Betting Picks
We’ve been making profits all through the tournament by backing David Warner and there’s no real reason to start changing at this stage. The left hander made 93 out of 163 in the play off against Gujarat Lions and that form has us taking admittedly low odds of 2.75 with Bet365.
If you disagree then the only other batter showing any consistent touch is Dhawan at 4.25 with 888Sport although Moises Henriques and Yuvraj Singh will offer value at a great price of 6.50 with 888Sport if there is a top order collapse.
It’s a similar story in the RCB camp where Kohli has been delivering the profits even when the side were struggling at the foot of the table. The skipper goes off here at 2.75 with 888Sport but in the last few games, AB De Villiers has been sharing the returns and the South African is better value at 3.75 with Bet365.
Betting Pick: Elsewhere, Chris Gayle is listed at 4.33 with Bet365 while Shane Watson, who has been very quiet with the bat, is at a seriously tempting price of 8.50 with 888Sport. Whilst it may be worth a small punt at that figure, I feel this is another game where Kohli will take all the batting responsibility.

Other Bet Picks
As a final option for this year’s IPL, we’re sticking with another man who has been the best performer in his discipline. Bhuvneshwar Kumar currently holds the Purple Cap and although he could lose that to any one of three bowlers on the night, Bhuvi looks the better option as Sunrisers’ best bowler at 3.75 with 888Sport.
We’ve seen in T20 finals before that anything can happen and there’s no way you should rule out the Sunrisers here. Gujarat Lions had RCB in all sorts of trouble in the first qualifier and only needed the crucial wicket of AB De Villiers to book their place here.
SRH have a better all-round bowling unit and can certainly threaten: Kohli and De Villiers are the key wickets and if they are both out cheaply, then the in-play odds will swing across to SRH.
But it’s all down to the Royal Challengers and if they play to their best in front of their own crowd then they will be unstoppable. I’m backing RCB but whatever happens, let’s hope it’s a thriller to match an entertaining tournament.
